Out with my boys, & Adam's first reacquaintance with a saddle!

Adam's first outing back on the bike. The plan is "little & often", so as not to overdo it and set himself back. A 10 mile loop at the coast after intensive radiotherapy and chemo, none too shabby, and fair-play to Oli managing that distance.

Nice Saturday morning ride with a friend from "darn sarf", and his friend. An enjoyable 55 miles, so it has been a decent week for total distance. Back home in time to catch Monaco Quali, and before the short rain shower.

Already intended a lunchtime sortie with Stretch, so this morning's early coastal loop just an addition bonus.
Our usual lunchtime-escape-from-the-desk/screens/meetings route, but just as welcome/enjoyable/good-craic as always.

Cat(apult)

With 2 cats deciding that the sun beaming through the windows at about 4:10am must mean "ah, breakfast!", and a subsequent resignation by yours-truly sometime later that they're winning, I took the opportunity of an early rise, to get out there for another training blast. 17 miles local coastal loop which took a little longer than usual, as I kept stopping to take pics!
An absolutely stunning morning.

Back out west and one of the regular routes with Stretch for company. Just 21 miles, but most decidedly not flat! Good to have the company too!

Out for a 2nd bite of the pie this 3-day weekend. Sadly the legs were left at home, and I'm still trying to acclimatise my winter-posterior, with the intricacies of a road-bike saddle! Ouch! So, just a 35-miler this time, although PROUDLY wearing my @BrainTumourResearch cycling jersey for it's first (of many) outing, and rightly so, it's what this year's Grand Canyon cycling challenge is all about....

First of two rides this May Bank Holiday - this one Sunday, 44 miles but two-thirds of that into a fairly strong headwind so very tiring! Spring lambs out nr Whalton, Northumberland.

First 50 mile ride of the year - yay!!, although the pace was very, shall we say, sedate!
Note to self: must continue some training through the winter months....
Still, a very nice day for cycling in Northumberland.
